Life as Practice.
“I’ll get to that when … I have more time. I’m less overwhelmed. I’m healthier. I’ve slept better. Next summer.”
You know this one. The thing pops up that you know could support you, but… maybe later — when life doesn’t feel so overwhelming
— high hopes and then stall out.
Perfection.
Overwhelm.
Everything is too much.
Fear of failure.
The unknown.
What are the things that interrupt your knowing and your excitement — and cause the stall out?
Life as Practice.
What if all of life is just practice? It’s all a trial run. Even once it is mastered - because there is always the next level.
Somethings are just meant to be tried on. They aren’t for you. Or they aren’t for you for forever. But your body will remember how they feel. And if they’re meant to come back to - tomorrow, next season, next year.. in five years, your body will remember and ask for it again. And if you’re tuned in and listening — you will respond to the nudge.
When the thing comes up and it seems too hard or too much or where could you possibly start…
Remember.
Life as Practice.
Take a small bite. A small step. A fraction of the all and try it on. And then try it on again. If it’s feeling juicy and fun then it will grow exponentially because.. YUM! That feels nice!
Practice the things you want more of, in small bites. And keep practicing. Practice what feels good in your body. So you can come back to that. Notice what does not. That information is just as important.
Your body remembers. Tune in and listen. And it will continue to guide you to your best self. Practicing all the way.
